Beer description
YEBISU CREATIVE BREW Volume 9. Developed based on insights from “Elite Hop” served at YEBISU BREWERY TOKYO. It features Japan's traditional native variety “Shinshu Sohsei,” “Little Star” carrying on the lineage of traditional hops, and the rising star “Furano Magical” that may astonish the world. To maximize the distinct characteristics of these three different domestic hops, they are added in three stages. Fermented with YEBISU yeast, this creates a robust yet elegant flavor. Enjoy an elegant YEBISU that fully expresses the character of the hops.
① Japan's Traditional Native Variety “Shinshu Sosei”
A traditional Japanese hop developed starting in 1910 during the Meiji era, remaining a staple variety for over 100 years. Characterized by a deep, complex bitterness.
② “Little Star” Continuing the Legacy of Traditional Hops
Belonging to the highest-grade fine aroma hops, this hop traces its lineage back to the traditional hop “Tetnanga.” It is characterized by an elegant, herbal aroma.
③ The Rising Star That Might Astonish the World: “Furano Magical”
Registered as a variety in 2021, this hop boasts the world's highest level* of thiol content (4-methyl-4-sulfunylpentan-2-one, 4MSP), which imparts a fruity aroma. It is characterized by a fruity, tropical aroma.
