Beer description
This one started as an idea for Record Store Day. A Black IPA seemed appropriate. Only problem was we didn't like them very much. Something about the roasted malt bite and the big piney hops didn't sit so well. So the mission was clear: Come up with a Black IPA recipe that we'd actually want to drink. So we rounded out the roast a bit and concentrated more on the richer, fruitier hops than the pine cones. The end result is a smoother black hop bomb than most, with a bit of xmas cake to it, and a regular favourite for us. Go figure.
