Beer description

This is a special release for us in honour of a special man who’s been an integral part of Secret Cove Brewing since the very beginning. Jason and his Dad Gus began renovating the former Viking Lounge and designing the brewery long before we jumped on the Craft Beer scene in Newfoundland. Those days we filled with hard work and Gus was pivotal in construction & design of our Brewery build. Gus & Jason brewed all the early beers back in 2018 after we launched! Late nights going home soaked and tired brewing our flagships and specifically our Gold medal James Blonde 00709, Malt Water Joys, Silver medal x2 Red Vinyl and Hard Case in your Face! Today, Gus (‘Gussy’) delivers all the beers people enjoy to the entire West Coast of Newfoundland! - Fact: If you pass our SCBC Van traveling down the TCH highway, Gus is the man ensuring we stock Western Newfoundland every week! To celebrate Gussy who loves all things Hoppy (he’s a true Hop Head) who turns 72yrs young this Friday, we are so excited to release our first New England IPA that’s super juicy, #HAZYAF and so smooth and crushable. We are stoked to add this to our Hop IPA lineup. If you’re lucky enough to grab a can or pint week we hope to start limited distribution next week. Thank you Dad so much for everything you continue to do every single day! And Happy 72nd Birthday we all love you so much! Note: If you are in the area this Friday July 12th, stop by the taproom and raise a glass to Augustine’s Finest!

A hazy & citrus IPA.

The nose is a hoppy cirtus. The taste is very hoppy with notes of orange peel that has a lingering citrus aftertaste. Pretty good.
