In 1805, Wilhelm Sester founded the brewery. Its origins, when beer was still delivered by horse-drawn carriage, are still proudly displayed in the brand logo of Sester Kölsch today. "Drink Sester my Best" has also been one of the most famous advertising slogans in the Kölsch market for decades. Its rich volume, slightly bitter hop note, and pleasant freshness have always distinguished Sester Kölsch.
