Beer description
We brewed this favorite saison with plenty of hops to make it last through the summer and into the "Indian Summer" season of late fall.
Saison was originally brewed during the off-season from winter to spring for summer farming. The hops were used to improve preservation, making this style of beer stand out among Belgian beers.
The IBU is a little lower than a regular IPA, around 50, but the dry body and balance make it moderately (!?) bitter. It is bitter.
The Saison yeast gives it a dryness that makes you not feel the alcohol content, and a fruity character that is not unpleasant.
The hops are mainly new varieties from New Zealand and the US. It has a refreshing aroma reminiscent of blue citrus fruits.
Alcohol percentage : 7.0%.
Beer Style : Belgian IPA
