This West Coast Pils is our first interpretation of this hybrid between West Coast IPA and German Pils, this time we have used pilsen malts, bottom fermenting yeast Weihenstephan 34, Hallertauer Mittelfruh hops in the wort boil and whirpool to release polyphenols and beta acids to give a full mouthfeel and an elegant bitterness and then added Mosaic and Citra pellets at a rate of 6 grams/litre. We then added Mosaic and Citra pellets at a rate of 6 grams/litre at the start of fermentation to enhance the tropical aromas.
