Beer description
This is the third beer through this barrel for Elliott Bay and currently filled for a fourth time. The last occupant was the first batch of Farmhouse Gold which led to it becoming a full time beer for Brother Barrel.
This time, we refilled the barrel with our wheat wort instead of finished beer. This allowed our mixed culture of bugs an equal shot at fermentable sugar which created a sour lemon note to balance the funky Brettanomyces character. The result is a farmhouse, wheat ale with a balancing lactic tartness. Refreshing and flavorful.
