Beer description
Surly teamed up Sierra Nevada brewer Michael Palmer to participate in Sierra Nevada’s Beer Camp Across the World. We determined to make a ginger lager, wanting to create a refreshing summer beer that traveled well. The heat and flavor of fresh ginger puree (3lb/bbl) are intensified by the addition of a small amount of cayenne. A red oak honeycomb addition adds vanilla notes and rounds out the flavor
