Bishop Cider - Spicy Michelada

Sure, you’ve seen all of the michelda beers out there. And, just about every brewery got into this tasty segment. About 2 years ago we developed a Bloody Mary Cider aptly named Spicy Bloody Mary [shocking]. I can’t go into the specifics as to why we did that, other than, as the story goes, someone came into the building a bit hung from a night of softball and drinking. In order to ease things a bit, this person took some cider and added a Bloody Mary mix into it. There may or may not have been some additional habanero or other pepper thrown in just for the heck of it. I dunno, this is just a “story”. So keepin it real, the crew took a sip and really liked it, so they pulled a couple of slims and made some small batch Spicy Bloody Mary just to see how y’all liked it. It was gone before they could make more. Sooooo, after doing a few other batches over the past few years, they modified the recipe and changed the name, thus we now have a Spicy Michelada. It is everything you want if you enjoy this style of beer, or cider. It’s semi-dry, tart and spicy with some added fizz just for fun and at 7%, it’ll def do the trick.
