Spirifer Saratoga

Diacetyl covered biscuits mostly. Citrus and pineapple from the hops are also present, albeit far more repressed than expected. The hoppiness shines through in the medium bitter finish, otherwise this beer makes an impression of a pepped up Czech pils, due to the combination of malt and butterscotch. What I missed were some refreshing qualities. The beer is not really well attenuated, and thus a bit thickish on the palate, at least by style standards. That should be considered and the diacetyl best eliminated. But it’s still certainly not a bad beer.
