Beer description
What does it even mean ?
As summer fades into fall and fall succumbs to winter, as temperatures begin to decline and the sun slowly disappears, so too do the qualities we desire in our beer start to subtly shift. The warm chaos of summer that requires light, bright, refreshing beers that can be crushed all day long and well into the golden hour, gives way to the cool serenity of winter and the season of longer, slower evenings which beg for richer, fuller ales to be sipped and savored. Enter El Capitano, the perfect double IPA to bridge this seasonal gap. Holding on to the sunny hoppy tropical aromas of the fading summer, now enveloped in a deeper, rounder body and finishing with a boozy warmth. To be enjoyed slowly, contemplatively, in good company.
What you need to know though
Heidelberg pilsner with Heidelberg wheat, a bunch of torrified and malted oats and wheat and a sprinkle of Golden Naked oats. Heavy dose of Citra in the whirlpool, dry hopped with Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic, and Motueka.
Golden, smooth and juicy sweet, tropical aromas of candied pineapple and mango, followed by notes of grapefruit peel and ripe stone fruit.
