Beer description
What does it even mean ?
Stigbergets proudly stands as a member of Sveriges Oberoende Bryggerier, an association comprising over 160 craft breweries united by a common goal: to strengthen our presence in the Swedish beer market and foster a robust Swedish beer culture.
Inspired by an idea from last year’s GSBF in Malmö, SOB is launching a collaborative project with brews from over 100 of our members being released in solidarity. This joint effort aims to enhance the visibility of our association across Sweden, showcasing the incredible diversity and breadth of beer styles we produce. By releasing this beer locally—from Gällivare in the north to Malmö in the south—we present a united front and support one another under a shared banner. Highlighting the collective strength of Sweden’s independent breweries and celebrating the rich tapestry of our craft beer scene.
We chose to brew a classic German style that has been seriously underrepresented in said scene. The beloved dark lager of Bavaria, hearty and satisfying, yet light and quaffable: the dunkel.
What you need to know though
A base of Vienna and Munich malts, accented by a little Weyermann’s Special W and some roasted barley, lightly hopped with Tettnanger.
Bright ruby brown, smooth and malty with a light bitterness. Aromas of caramel, toffee, dried fruit, bread crust, and nutty notes with barely a hint of smoke. Incredibly sessionable and refreshing.
