Strangeways Brewing - Stark Silhouette Bourbon Barrel Aged

Bourbon barrel aged imperial milk stout. Stark Silhouette is a robust imperial milk stout that derives its obsidian color, rich mouthfeel and it's mocha tinted foam from a heavy handed mix of caramel and dark malts, high protein adjuncts and lactose. We used German Magnum hops for bittering, and Boadicea hops for flavor and aroma, but there isn't a lot of hop aroma in this one. You will get notes of coffee, dark chocolate and burnt sugar followed by a warming, bittersweet finish to keep the chill away on a winter night
