Beer description
Summer's End is a cyser (apple mead) made with local Western Buckwheat Blossom Honey, rich vanilla beans and a combination of Vietnamese and Ceylon cinnamon. Before there was Halloween there was Samhain, an ancient Celtic festival celebrated on October 31st to mark the end of harvest and the beginning of the “dark half” of the year. Samhain is often translated as Summer’s End and was believed to be the time when the division between our world and the otherworld was thinnest, allowing spirits to pass through. We created Summer’s End to celebrate this ancient festival and as an offering to any spirits that find their way over to our side this Halloween. Drink with good company, whether dead or alive. Tasting Notes: Aroma: warm, cinnamon apple topping with fall spices, scooped onto vanilla ice cream. Taste: Fall apple pie, with a mix of sweet red and tart green apples.
