We love brewing lagers and we love brewing with New Zealand hops. You know how this ends. Taumata, or Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturi- pukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu by its full name taken from an actual hill on New Zealand’s northern island, is our Nelson Sauvin-hopped lager. We kept it for ourselves in the tank as long as we could and we’re releasing what’s left of it. Crystal clear, lightly malty and refreshingly fruity due to light dry-hopping, it sports an aroma of gooseberry, lychee and lime. Its brisk bitterness allows you to enjoy a mug or two, so you’ll have enough time to learn the whole name and order the next one in style!
