For Texels Geheim 13, we take you back to the origins of our brewery. Together with founder Harry Bonne, we have revived one of his first beers, Het Licht van Troost. This beer was very popular on the island and beyond in the 1990s. Now is your chance to relive that authentic taste from back then. The name of this beer refers to Texel's other lighthouse, located in the south of the island: 't Licht van Troost. This beacon owes its name to three generations of lighthouse keepers from the Troost family. First Hendrik, later his sons Sieme and Tinus, and grandson Aris. Harry Bonne gave this light-colored triple its name at the time.
