Beer description
This brew was partly inspired by a recent “business trip” to Southern Germany, where stodgy old Teutonic brewers are starting to use hops like they were crazy American brewers. This new offering is similar to their Crop Circle Wheat made with a German hop variety called Mandarina Bavaria. The fruity aromas of this hop marry well with the banana-like flavors from the Weizen yeast into a flavor circus in your mouth. (The compound produced by the Weizen yeast that contributes the banana flavor is also used to flavor circus peanut candies.) Add to that a malt bill of Goldpils malt (in addition to wheat malt) for a little fuller malt flavor and you’ve got one tasty beer!
