Beer description

Brewed to celebrate the anniversary of the Jacobite Rebellion of 1745, the ale proved so popular that it has become a constant addition to the range. Based on a recipe from the eighteenth century, the ale is flavored with coriander, which gives it a remarkably fresh aftertaste. "A rich, warm biscuit aroma, balanced by hops and a herbal note of coriander. A bittersweet finish with hints of chocolate, vinous fruits and coriander".

Farbe dunkelbraun, klar, Nase mit leichtem Rsuch, dezente Reszenz mit vollmubdiger Note bei Schokoladenaroma und Süße, im Abgang angebehne Bittere.

Fairly effervescent but no head. Dark brown, almost black in appearance. Big malty nose, dark toasted biscuits, hint of toffee and coffee (no booze on nose despite 8% alcohol). …
