Spontaneous, sour
Fermentation
Beer description
We became friends with the amazing folks at Row 34 after attending the Extreme Beer Fest in Boston the last few years. We thought the oysters and seafood they serve at their restaurant could be amazingly paired with sour beer and decided to collaborate on a recipe. An ingredient that Row34 frequently uses is Preserved Meyer Lemons. So we thought it could be interesting to age preserved Meyer lemons on Basis for a few months to achieve some nice citrus character as well as some salinity which enhances mouthfeel. When concocting the blend, Adam suggested blending in a touch of basis aged on Tequila barrels and BOOM--beer is fantastic!
