Beer description

Doppelbock is very malt driven. Slightly sweet, candy like aroma with gentle toasty, bready notes, and mild “lager” quality. The flavor is initially sweet with just a touch of noble hop bitterness for balance. The flavors of bread crust, toasty biscuits, and roasted nuts come through the middle. The finish is crisp, refreshing and slightly toasty, leaving you wanting more. While slightly sweet, it is not cloying, and alcohol is well hid; despite its rich flavor and higher gravity, it does not come off as heavy. Perfect with red meat, hard cheeses, and stews.
