Upland - Unfiltered Helles

Part of what drew the brewers at Upland to brewing beer in the first place was the chance to learn about and recreate traditional styles of beer. The pilot brewery at Fountain Square allows us to return to some of the older roots of brewing from time to time. While a true German Pilsner is light, clean, and crisp with a noticeable bitterness and a distinct spicy hop character, a Munich Helles maintains those crisp, refreshing characteristics with a bit more emphasis on the malt. Our version of the Munich Helles is more robust than the norm and completely unfiltered. So, expect a bit of haze, full-body, and rich malt character.
