Legends inform us that Valmiermuiža hunting place was once famed for its hospitality, and was a popular destination for aristocratic guests from land near and far. Maintaining the historical traditions of the palace, Valmiermuiža’s owner has conceived a refreshment in which elderberry blossom and berry syrup is added to the brewery’s amber lager. Elderberry has been grown by Latvian manor houses since the 17th century as a colourful plant with healing powers. Let’s enjoy the summer together with a sparkling drink that has become a classic, Frišs! In the glass, this golden straw-hued refreshment gives rise to a head of enduring, snow white foam. In its aroma, one can detect a garden bouquet awaiting visiting bees, with an intertwining hint of light malt and hops. The vibrant flavour stems from the interplay of blossoms full of nectar and ripe southern fruits, which an aftertaste enhanced by the mild sweetness of malt sweetness offset by a slightly bitter tinge of hops.
