Beer description
Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a light copper glow and a thin, fast-dying just off-white head. Aroma of honey, yeast, grass, herbs, candy, apricots, figs, hay and a lot of effervescent fruit - very interesting and super potent smelling. Medium to Full-bodied; Rich malty flavour at first with a great sweet and floral yeast kick, showing a lot of honey, some subdued fruits and a grassy, perfumey kick that persists throughout. Aftertaste shows a lot of floral notes, a good grassy and complex yeast flavour, some light sugars at the tail end and a finish that lingers in a very good way on the tongue (from the bubbles and effervescence) and the palate. Overall, a very nice and incredibly complex tripel with flavours throughout showing the layers you can expect from a real Belgie tripel. Definitely worth buying and trying if you can find this! I sampled this stubby 33 cL bottle purchased from Beer Planet in Bruxelles, Belgium on 18-January-2015 for €3,00 sampled at home in Washington on the other side of the pond on 03-March-2015 and packing this back in my suitcase was a great idea!
