Hans-Joachim Klose and Petra Stark have been running the werk2 winery in Geisenheim for over 20 years. Your interest and enthusiasm for craft beer was so great that, after a few test brews, you quickly started up a small brewery on your winery. You are now producing small batches of craft beers in your factory. The MonkeyX is a great pale ale and at the same time the first craft beer from werk2. The focus of this beer is on the yeast, because the MonkeyX was fermented with wine yeast, which gives the beer an incredible Riesling note. A great beer to take classic wine drinkers into the world of creative beers. The MonkeyX has already won the first silver medal in the tasting competition from Selection - the gourmet magazine and was thus able to convince not only numerous trade fair and festival visitors but also the first expert jury. In the glass, the werk2 MonkeyX in the Wabi-Sabi Edition is presented in a cloudy gold-orange and is adorned with a slightly cream-colored head of foam. Delicately sour Riesling notes tickle in the nose. In addition, you can enjoy fruity aromas of mandarin and orange. The initial taste is creamy, sweet and fruity and a present Riesling note dominates the first impression. The carbonation is soft and also makes the Riesing Pale Ale very tasty. A pleasant bitterness of hops in the finish, but not quite as bitter as the well-known BehlAcht is.
