This orange-yellow wheat doppelbock with its considerable 7.5% alcohol has a strong, white head. Above it rises a fruity-aromatic bouquet of banana, clove, pomegranate and a hint of mint. The body is creamy with banana flavors, as well as background notes of cherry, honey, currant and herbs. An American hop country variety called Cluster provides a harmonious balance of sweetness and bitterness with distinctive, robustly spicy flavors. The result is a velvety, well-rested and quaffable wheat beer. This runs pleasantly and refreshingly across the palate with a mild finish.
