Beer description
An experimental black ale based on an Izakaya lunch. Toasted buckwheat is added to the mash to resemble the flavor and mouthfeel of fresh soba noodles. Roasted nori (seaweed) and ikasumi (squid ink) are added to the boil to lend salinity and earthiness. Inky black in color and a subtle, cozy maltiness play off brackish notes. A truly experimental beer.
