Beer description
St Walter is an Australian Wild Ale made with red wine grapes. It is named for Topher and Bernadette’s first son. Saint Walter was an 11th century monk from the Loire Valley in France and is the patron saint of vintners. In 2021, St Walter: Gamay was made by blending barrel aged golden mixed culture fermentation ale with 60kg of beautiful handpicked, whole bunch Gamay from Ravensworth Estate in Murrumbateman, NSW.
Herbal woody spice aromas, dried flowers and a minerally wet-stone nose. Expectedly complex palate, red fruits meld with stalky spice and grapefruit like acidity. The varietal character shines on the back palate with intense raspberry liquorice and dark earthy spice
