Beer description

St Walter is an Australian Wild Ale made with red wine grapes. It is named for Topher and Bernadette’s first son. Saint Walter was an 11th century monk from the Loire Valley in France and is the patron saint of vintners. In 2021, St Walter: Montepulciano was made by blending barrel aged golden mixed culture fermentation ale with 60kg of whole bunch NSW Montepulciano courtesy of Ravensworth. The nose opens with big sweet fruit notes, sweet cherries, watermelon and plums. The palate is remarkably fruit dominant, cherry, red creaming soda, raspberries and plums run rampant across the palate. Big body and texture but the fruit acidity brings the palate to a close. A persistent and delicious fruit beer
