Beer description

Witte Antonia is a distinctive, artisanal White beer crafted from the finest wheat and pilsner malt. With its bright citrus notes and subtle coriander hints, this beer packs more power and aroma than your average White beer. The story of this unique brew is rooted in the history of the Bethaniën Monastery, founded by Arent Moey and Weyn Pieter Ghijbertsdatter in the mid-15th century. Serving as a sanctuary for women seeking redemption from their former, sinful lives, it became home to many Converted Sisters or Bekeerde Susteren. The Monastery housed hundreds, if not thousands, of women over the centuries of its existence. Among the most notable residents was Witte Antonia, who embodied the spirit of this refreshing beer - a symbol of renewal, redemption, and hope.
