Zaganu - Sturionul

“We don’t want that the sturgeon, one of the oldest animal species in the world, to have the fate of the bearded eagle (zagan in Romanian), that is already extinct in Romania; especially because 5 out of 6 species of sturgeon in the Danube Delta are on the list of endangered species.” In 2013, when Fabrica de Bere Bună was launched, we decided to name the beer Zaganu, to honor the bearded eagle that lived in the area and has been hunted down to extinction. Moreover, this name represented for us the symbol of our mission - to redefine the beer industry and reinvent the tradition of craft beer in Romania. We created this limited edition Pale Ale, in the colors of the sturgeon, with the strong desire to contribute along you to saving this species from extinction.
