Zlatý Bažant 0,0% Tmavé is the first Slovak dark beer completely without alcohol. This innovation was brewed using up to four different malts: pale pilsner, pale caramel, Bavarian and coloured malt. It is the carefully chosen combination of malts that gives it an intense malty flavour and aroma with notes of roasted malt. It is produced using the so-called cold fermentation method. Fermentation in this method takes place at a very low temperature, thanks to which the yeast produces no alcohol and the resulting beer nevertheless retains a full-bodied beer flavour.
