In the past, beers were not as strong in alcohol content and highly fermented as they are today - old brewing methods used high-fermentation yeasts. In the old breweries of the city of Soest, the beer style "Braunbier" was also brewed. Based on these cornerstones, their brewers developed a special mashing process and a new recipe for the "Anno 624". With only about 4.3% alcohol and 10.5% original wort, the beer is weaker than today's beers. Nevertheless, it shines with a high fullness and "drinkability".
