On April 23, 2016, 500 years after the announcement of the German Purity Law, we opened our new craft beer brewery, in the immediate vicinity of our historic brewery, which was in operation until 2014 and is now used as a brewing museum. On December 11th, 1736 Johann Nicol Greiner received the right to brew beer in Steinach from Duke Friedrich Wilhelm of Saxony, Coburg and Meiningen at Schloss Elisabethenburg in Meiningen. Since then we have been following this passion in the 11th generation. Our beers have been brewed and bottled by hand in our brewery for over 280 years and are available in our house and soon also in our webshop.
