Description

130 years of Rosenheim brewing tradition! Purity law and strict quality criteria Since 1889, our beer has been brewed according to the Bavarian purity law. A lot has happened in our technical equipment since then and the brewery has become more modern. But experience, knowledge and sensitivity still determine our art of brewing top beers. With just four raw materials, we always manage to brew a unique and special beer. Consistently high quality and an unforgettable beer enjoyment. That is our goal and we can only achieve it with regular quality controls that are adhered to according to clearly defined rules. Even when there is high demand, we do not deviate from these. Every single batch is tasted by our experienced master brewers before bottling! Regional ingredients and our own deep well We obtain our hops and malt from regional partners in Bavaria with whom we have been working closely for years. This partnership-like relationship has proven itself very well and is an important building block for the quality of our beers. We always get raw materials that meet our high quality requirements. One of the most important factors for the taste of our beers is water, after all, beer is 90% made of it. We pump our fresh and crystal clear brewing water from our own deep well, which is 120m deep in the earth. This enables us to ensure that the water quality always remains the same and that the taste of our beer does not change. A lot of experience, passion and time Brewing is an art that our brewers practice with great passion and dedication. We use the single and double mix process. The two-mash process takes a long time and is complex, but it makes our beer taste fuller and rounder. We also deliberately allow our beers enough rest during storage. The balance of the beer and its typical taste develop only after storage. Depending on the variety and brew, this can take up to 6 weeks. Our responsibility The top priority when brewing beer is for us the maximum quality of our beers and that constant throughout the year. There are several ways to achieve this. We made a conscious decision to act sustainably over 20 years ago. Also for the benefit of our beautiful homeland. During this time, for example, we were able to almost halve the consumption of water, electricity and heat to produce a hectolitre of beer. We at Auerbräu are still pursuing the same goal with our beer as our founder Johann Auer 130 years ago: what must be right!
