Description
The Brauhaus Bad Wildungen is located on the western edge of the spa and bathing town of Bad Wildungen.
The building is more than 100 years old and is located in the middle of the forest, which is why it used to be called the 'Waldhaus'. You will still come across this name on maps or in the signposting of the forest paths!
Until 1991 it was run as a café, then after a major conversion and extension it became a brewery with everything that makes a brewery, especially the brewhouse with the typical copper kettles. The owner produced the 'Wildunger Landbier'.
The brewery was then and still is one of the smallest pub breweries in Germany, which our A&V Brauhaus GmbH took over in 1997. We have continued to run the inn with a new concept and a great love of detail to this day.
We brew a light and dark Pils and a Hefeweizen according to the old art of brewing and the purity law of 1516.
The beers are unfiltered, i.e. naturally cloudy, and therefore not only particularly tasty, but also healthy.
In 2000, our beer was given its current name: Engelsbräu. Since 2012, we have been offering the mixed beer drinks ENGELSBRÄU SPRIZZ in the flavours yeast/grapefruit, dark/raspberry, dark/cherry, dark/strawberry and light/blue orange - wonderfully refreshing!
In a rustic and cosy ambience, in summer also in the beer garden, you can enjoy the Engelsbräu in all its variations, eat hearty food and experience something at the same time!
