Description
Kölsch stands for Cologne, Altbier for Düsseldorf and Weissbier for Bavaria - and which beer symbolises our region? What unites us and is also well-known? These were the crucial questions to which there was no answer. A short time later it was clear: Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen stands for our region. He was born in Hamm (Sieg), lived and worked in the Westerwald. In the spirit of the world-famous founder of the cooperative movement in Germany, 14 people and organisations came together to form the F. W. Raiffeisen Hamm (Sieg) eG beer co-operative. Today, the co-operative markets a beer branded F. W. Raiffeisen branded beer, which can now even be bought in supermarkets.
