Description

Mario Scheckenberger brewed for many years as a hobby brewer on a plant bought by the Argus-Bräu, which he set in a wooden hut next to his home. The plant consisted of a double-walled, oil-filled 50 liter brewing pan with electric stirrer, which was used at the same time as mash tun and brewing pan. the main fermentation vessel was a green storehouse bin, the ripening process was carried out in a pressure drum. Then the beer was bottled with its own bottling plant. In 2010, Scheckenberger relocated to a 50-liter Gruber plant and in 2013 he won the title of state champion of the domestic and small brewery championship with his "Citra Pils". Overall, Scheckenberger brewed more than 30 different types of beer under the name "ScheckiBräu". Scheckenberger invested in 2015 in the opening of a commercial brewery, which he opened in the former leisure center in Steinbach am Attersee. After setting up the 10 hl brewhouse in January 2015, the official opening ceremony took place on 5 July 2015. Since the brewer's grandfather had been blacksmith, the new brewery "Bierschmiede" was baptized. The beers can be purchased between Thursday and Saturday in the brewery "Gschäft'l" or tasted in the Braustub'n werden.Auch brewery tours are possible after registration.
