Description

In the heart of Lower Bavaria, in beautiful Aldersbach, lies a former Cistercian monastery. The church, decorated in magnificent baroque style, is world-famous. And the brewery? It is one of the oldest in the world. A letter of arbitration from Count Albert von Hals from 1268 attests to early brewing within the monastery walls. The brewery and monastery have been in the hands of the Von Aretin family since 1812. They cultivate the brewing tradition with passion. Mainly Bavarian classics come out of the modern brewing facilities in the south wing of the monastery, always in fantastic quality. Visitors to the brewery can see this for themselves in the beautiful Braustüberl with Bavarian home cooking and freshly tapped beer.
