Description
Beer has been brewed in Erharting since 1872: in 1869, Anna Liebhart, a restaurateur and economist from Erharting, acquired the Schwaigerbräu brewery in Mühldorf and transferred the brewing rights to Erharting. She first had a storage cellar with a summer tavern built in the Vorberg district. This still exists today as the widely known Sommerkeller beer garden. In 1872, her son Ignaz and his wife Katharina Liebhart were able to build a brewery in Erharting and brew their first beer.
