Description
The Brauküche 35 is a projected small brewery in the municipality Wullersdorf (district Hollabrunn, Lower Austria). The brewery will open on 3 December 2016. In 2010, beer sommelier and biotechnologist Jörg Gartler and his partner Kathrin Erlebach acquired an old farm in Schalladorf. Initially planned as a second home only, the couple gradually developed a concept for a craft brewery in the building of the former Weinviertel farm. To realize their idea, the couple founded the "Brauküche 35 KG" in 2015 with Jörg's brother Rainer Gartler. The neo-entrepreneurs chose the name because of their first brewing attempts in the kitchen. For the construction of their own brewery, the former stable was rebuilt. According to newspaper reports, the residents ran initial storm against the project, as they feared the establishment of a brewery with restaurant. The project of the brewery kitchen was even in the consequence impressed in court. The opening of the brewery was celebrated on 3 December 2016 in Hollabrunn. In addition to its own beers, which are sold, among others, in the brewery shop and in Hollabrunn, Gartler also wants to offer brewery tours, brewing courses and sensory seminars.
