Description
The micro brewery project started in 2001, in a cultural exchange held in Germany. A decade later, in 2011 the Cervejaria Urwald is founded in the city of São Vendelino / RS. The municipality, colonized by German immigrants, has just over 1,900 inhabitants. It is located between the green valleys of the Serra Gaúcha hillside and is cut by a charming stream of crystal clear waters. The architecture and tranquility of the place is very reminiscent of small German cities. "Urwald" means jungle / native forest, referring to the vegetation of the green valleys that surround the city and region. The Urwald brewery rescues the brewing culture of the municipality of São Vendelino, which in 1866 was the birthplace of one of the first breweries in Brazil.
