Already in 2014 the idea arose to start an attempt to brew a beer together - developed during a handicraft afternoon for our kids ...... We, Johann Wieser, a locksmith operator, Gerhard Prammer, real estate shark and Michael Sams, beer sommelier have a little one Bought a home brewing system and after a few promising attempts the desire quickly arose to let the idea grow a little further and enlarge it! The first brew was brewed in October 2016, after a few adjustments, the “Strobler Helle” was presented to the locals in February 2017! Our brewhouse consists of a mash tun (which is also our wort kettle), a lauter tun and a whirlpool with a cooling system. Our bottom-fermented beers are fermented closed, our top-fermented beers are fermented openly and then traditionally in the bottle in the second fermentation! In the meantime, we brew the Strobler Helle and also a Strobler wheat beer as standard, as well as seasonal specialties such as the Strobler Advent beer and the Strobler Maibier. The beers are available in our shop in Ischlerstraße or from many restaurateurs in the region between St. Gilgen and Bad Ischl. We have also been running our own tavern in Strobl since November 2019. In “dasWirtshaus”, which can also be found on Ischlerstrasse in Strobl, there is of course our Strobler Helles on tap and all of our special beers from the bottle.
