Description
Port Jervis’s Central Business District is comprised of brick buildings from the late 1800’s many of which are now antique shops, pizza parlors and small businesses. The downtown area is architecturally rich, pedestrian friendly, and contains ample un-metered parking. Front Street sees a significant amount of traffic as it is located adjacent to a major bridge connecting Pennsylvania to New York. Port Jervis sits in the middle of the Minisink Valley which includes portions of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and stretches from Forestburgh, NY to the Delaware Water Gap. The area includes incredibly valuable natural and historical resources, including the Delaware Water Gap, Grey Towers, Bushkill Falls and Hawk’s Nest. The Minisink Valley is only an hour and a half away from New York City and two hours from Philadelphia. This area serves as a hub for Summer time activity including swimming, rafting, hiking and biking.
