Description

Fritz Zollstab received permission from Peter von Redwitz zu Theisenort on October 13, 1514 to brew beer. In the document it is mentioned here: Schenkstatt with all affiliations at the brook in the village of Weyssenprun to Fritz Zollstab, Wirth zu Weyssenprun, to enjoy the Schenkstatt and to use it with mulches, brewing and pouring. In 1614 Heintz Gampert was first mentioned as the owner; the brewery has been family-owned ever since. The brewery's trademark is a pipe-smoking white-haired green forester.
