Description

Our project was born out of a meeting between professionals and enthusiasts of the brewing trade. It was a meeting in one of Lyon's cultural icons, the Brasserie Georges, where Georges beers have been made for the last ten years as a microbrewery, an activity that had been abandoned for a long time and that we were determined to relaunch in 2004. Our shared passion and complementary backgrounds naturally gave rise to the desire to promote and share these beers with the beer-lovers who flock to the brewery to toast their friends and family. We've rediscovered the pleasure of sharing the distinctive beers with strong personalities that made Lyon's breweries so famous in the Golden Age. Our ancestors knew the famous Munica Brune and Pilza Pale! In 2017, our aim is to bring back Bières Georges in bottles and to introduce you to the creations of our master brewer Loïc Mayoud. It's a project that's been a long time in the making, and one that we hope will bring pleasure and emotion to all beer lovers. It's a tribute to Georges the creator and to our predecessors, and a desire to ensure that this valuable heritage lives on, made possible thanks to our host, La Brasserie La Grihète®, with whom we've had the pleasure of working.
