Description

Maidstone has a long tradition of commercial brewing that dates back to before 1650. At the beginning of the 20th century there were four independent brewers in the city, the last of which was taken over in 1972 and production ceased. In 1983, after eleven years, Phil and Debbie Goacher opened their own brewery in the Loose Valley, reviving the art of brewing in the county town. Due to the need for expansion, the plant was moved to a new industrial building in the darkest Tovil in 1990. The modern brewery was built and built specifically according to classic standards to enable full brewing and open fermentation in stainless steel vessels. In addition, all Goacher's Ales are made from 100% barley malt and whole Kentish hops without the addition of sugar or artificial colors of any kind. We believe that our commitment to excellence and traditional methods leads to coveted and characterful beers in this increasingly standardized world.
