Description

In my small microbrewery, located in the farming community of Hoest in Ennigerloh in the south-eastern Münsterland, I have been brewing mainly classic beer styles according to recipes I developed myself since 2018. In contrast to the commercially mass-produced industrial beers, my focus is on regional ties in addition to my passion for the art of craft, traditional brewing. Since 2022, I have also been brewing my beers as a so-called contract brewer at smaller breweries according to my own recipes, which I distribute regionally as draught and bottled beer. All the steps of the brewing process, starting with the milling of the malt, through mashing, lautering and wort boiling, to bottling and labelling, are done purely by hand. Beers produced in this way are often referred to as craft beer, because literally translated, craft means "handicraft" and not, as is often mistakenly assumed, "power". Consequently, the focus of my brewing activities is neither power nor strong beers, but rather "craft" or "hand-brewed" beers that have an independent taste profile that distinguishes them from the mass taste of industrially produced beers. The entire range of Hoester beer specialities is brewed with high-quality raw materials without the addition of extracts or technical adjuvants. After completion of fermentation and maturation, the beers remain natural and unadulterated, i.e. they are neither filtered nor pasteurised or otherwise preserved. In this way, valuable proteins, minerals and vitamins as well as natural hops and yeast components can be preserved as additional flavour carriers. Convince yourselves!
