Description

The brewing tradition in Hutthurm can be traced back to 1577. Evidently, with a sealed certificate - the original is owned by the brewery - the Counts of Ortenburg granted their subjects the right to brew huts, today's Hutthurm. They had to pay 1,500 thalers for it. After several changes of ownership - including Bishop Urban von Treubach (1561-1598) of the Diocese of Passau - a municipal company was created, which was called "The United Brewers from Hiatting". In 1914 the Raiffeisenbank in Hutthurm acquired the brewery. Hutthurm has been brewing strictly according to the purity law of 1516 for over 425 years. Selected wheat and barley malt, the best hops, as well as the company's own yeast and the crystal-clear water of the four brewery deep wells give the Hutthurmer beers their distinctive character. The talent and skills of the master brewer guarantee the consistently high quality of the products. Hutthurmer beers are an integral part of Bavaria's beer history. Connoisseurs, far beyond the borders of our core area, appreciate the taste and high quality of Hutthurmer products.
