FRANCISCAN MONASTERY IN KREUZBERG
Kreuzberg, a venerable place of pilgrimage, has a centuries-old history and is nicknamed the “Holy Mountain of the Franks.” Since the founding of the Franciscan monastery in 1677, this place has been a center of spirituality and pilgrimage. The monastery's own brewery has shaped the image of Kreuzberg since 1731, where the world-famous Kreuzberg beer is brewed.
Today, the brothers of the Franciscan order lovingly care for the pilgrimage church and organize pilgrimage pastoral care and church services on the Kreuzberg. The Franziskaner Klosterbetriebe GmbH takes care of the well-being of visitors with dedication and warmth.

Here, in the heart of the Kreuzberg monastery, we don't just brew beer – we create a living cultural heritage that captures the essence of our history and our values in every drop.

Our brewing water comes from our own sources, including the “Klosterquelle” (monastery spring), which has been in use since 1681. The brewing barley is processed by regional partners, while the finest aromatic hops come from the Hallertau region. Our beers are unfiltered to preserve valuable ingredients and are only bottled after ordering so that you can always enjoy freshness.
