Description

After being immersed in the craft beer scene in the US for 3 years and returning to Austria, I missed some of the innovative beer styles and experimental breweries, so I started brewing my own beer at home, which was also very well received by friends and family. Then, during a career break, I happened to hear that "Leonfeldner Bier" was no longer going to continue, and a crazy thought ripened in me - what if I turn my hobby into a career and start my own brewery? Thought, done! Just 3 months later, some of the old production equipment was in the new premises and additional machinery was purchased. I wanted to create my own brand with my own recipes and so "kråftbier" was born. "kråftbier" stands on the one hand for the regional art of craft beer, and on the other hand for the power and energy of the Mühlviertel raw materials that make the beer unique. The goal is to combine the traditional brewing art of the Mühlviertel with new, modern approaches from the USA. Therefore, there are initially 3 beers that will always exist by default. The "Brotkäppchen" (a quaffable, top-fermented beer brewed with old bread), the "Zwergenegold" (golden, fruity, hoppy Pale Ale) and the "Dunkelstilzchen" (dark Porter with chocolate and coffee notes). In addition, there are seasonal beers that will be available depending on the season, as well as the changing "special beers" where I let my taste buds run wild and which will always be limited editions. With my small craft brewery, I have the advantage that I don't have to provide my customers with a uniform brew, but can bring them the flavorful diversity of the international beer scene in the glass.
